Leaning Pine Arboretum

We are the Central Coast's Premier Horticultural Display Garden. Located on the Cal Poly campus at the Environmental Horticultural Science unit, the Leaning Pine Arboretum specializes in plants from the world's five mediterranean climate areas.

The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College

The Scott Arboretum is a garden of ideas and suggestions. Encompassing more than 300 acres of a college campus, over 4000 kinds of ornamental plants are on display.

Alaska Botanical Garden

Anchorage, AK

The Alaska Botanical Garden is set in the native boreal forest of Anchorage and contains a trail system between garden features. These features include two perennial gardens, a formal herb garden, an alpine rock garden, a native wildflower walk and a 1.1 mile nature trail.

Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens ,National Park Service

Washington, DC

The National Park Service provides a site of 45+ ponds on 12 acres, with 70 acres of adjacent protected wetlands. Aquatic plants are grown and displayed in a natural setting. Primarily waterlillies, lotus, and other native blooming plants.

Cabrillo College Environmental Horticulture Center

Aptos, CA

The center features classrooms, a horticultural resource center, community room, shade houses, greenhouses, gardens featuring a salvia collection, a species and primarly hybrid fuchsia collection.

South Carolina Botanical Garden

Clemson, SC

A 270 acre public garden with a number of themed niche gardens (butterfly to woodland) and a nature-based, site specific sculpture program. Offer many public programs and a twice yearly plant sale. Site of the Region I, S. C. National Heritage Corridor's Discovery Center.

The Hobbit Garden

Raleigh, NC

Dedicated to collecting, testing and designing with rare, unusual and dwarf ornimental plants. Founded in 1978. Known for demonstrating intensive planting for small urban properties in creating naturalistic environmental settings. Zone 7b, jewel. By appointment only.

Hildene

Manchester, VT

Hildene was the former summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln, now open to the public. The formal garden was designed and planted in 1907 by Frederick G. Todd, an apprentice of F. L. Olmstead. Restoration of the cutting and kitchen gardens now in progress. Garden events hosted.

Falls of the Ohio State Park

Gardens surround beautiful interpretive center at Falls of the Ohio State Park. Various gardens are maintained by park volunteers, Sunnyside Master Gardeners, Louisville Daylily Society, Kentuckiana Herb Society and others.
