Fullerton Arboretum

The Fullerton Arboretum, a 26-acre botanical garden on the CSUF campus, is a living museum of plants from around the world. Since its opening in 1979, the garden has served the community as a resource for ecological, horticultural, and historical education.

Kalmia Gardens of Coker College

30-acre garden on the bluffs of Black Creek. The site of the 1820 Thomas E. Hart House. On trails, visitors explore a blackwater swamp, laurel thickets, pine-oak-holly uplands and a beech bluff. An AHS daylilly display garden. 150 varieties of Camellia japonica.

Gardenview Horticultural Park

Luther Burbank's Gold Ridge Experiment Farm

Burbank's Farm (Nat. Reg. of Historic Places) is the site where Burbank (1849-1926) conducted multiple plant experiments (fruit trees, perennials, etc.). Some of these are still in the original nursery rows. Self-guided tours all year; group tours by appointment.
