Frederick W. Vanderbilt Formal Gardens

The Vanderbilt National Historic Site contains extensive formal, Italian style gardens, restored and maintained entirely by volunteers. The gardens contain over 2000 roses, 3000 perennials and 6000 annuals each year.

The New York Botanical Garden

The New York Botanical Garden is the best place to learn about plants, from gardening and landscaping to botanical art, floral design and botany. Continuing Education offers more than 600 courses a year, and offers seven certificate programs.
