The Friends of Sausal Creek

We are a group of community members committed to protecting and restoring Sausal Creek in Oakland, California. We have established a Native Plant Demonstration Garden and riparian restoration in Dimond Park and a Native Plant Nursery in Joaquin Miller Park.

Conservation, Educational, Membership, Native Plants

Programs:
Native plant gardens.
Native plant nursery.
Riparian and woodland restoration team.
Bird, aquatic insect, and water quality monitoring teams.
Speakers available.

Membership/Dues:
Meetings and events are open to the public free-of-charge. Contributions for the support of our programs are appreciated but not required for membership.

Publications:
We have for sale-
The Gardener's Guide to Native Plants of the East Bay published by the Aquatic Outreach Institute; Pamphlet $5.00

Meetings/Conventions:
Monthly Meeting: 3rd Wednesday of the Month (except July), 7:00pm. Meet at Dimond Library; 3565 Fruitvale Avenue.
Weekly Saturday work events at the creek/garden (9am to noon) and at our native plant nursery (1:30pm - 4pm).
