The Garden Club of Brookfield

Location:   Brookfield,   CT

We focus on beautification of Brookfield and sharing horticultural knowledge. Some major activities are maintenance of the Brookfield Historical Museum's colonial herb and flower garden, town plantings, and a scholarship to a graduating high school senior.

Types of Programs:
Conservation, Educational, Native Plants

Programs:
Programs range from talks by experts on ferns, herbs, and flower arranging to wreath making for donation to town buildings.

Membership/Dues:
We are members of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc. and Federated Garden Clubs of Ct., Inc. Dues in 2003 are $20/year.

Meetings/Conventions:
We meet monthly on the third Thursday, usually at the Newbury Congregational Church, unless otherwise stated. Look for special meetings in the Brookfield Journal or the Danbury News Times.
