This prestigious organization was established in 1934 and continues its tradition of educating Long Island gardeners. We have lectures, raffles, plant/book sales, judged competitions and refreshments. Everyone is welcome.

Programs:
Outstanding speakers at each meeting present informative and entertaining talks. Education lectures or workshops are presented one hour before the main meeting.
Membership/Dues:
Membership dues: $25 per calendar year. Visitors & Guests may attend meetings for $5, payable at the door.
Special garden tours are limited to members only.
Publications:
Our newsletter, 'The Gardeners' Gazette' is mailed to members 11 times a year.
Meetings/Conventions:
Members' plant sales are held at the May and September meetings.
LIHS sponsors the Long Island Gold Medal Plant of Award Program.
