Mid-America Bonsai Alliance

The Mid-America Bonsai Alliance (Maba) is an organization of bonsai clubs in the midwest. Part of its purpose is to promote public awareness and appreciation of bonsai. If you are looking for a bonsai club in the midwest, the Maba website is a good place to start.

Types of Programs:
Educational, Native Plants

Membership/Dues:
Individuals can access the website for free. Club dues to join the alliance are $25 per year, no matter how many members.

Publications:
The Alliance, a quarterly newsletter for member clubs. The Alliance is also available on the MABA website for non-members.

Meetings/Conventions:
MABA holds a convention every 2 years including a bonsai exhibit; a vendor area with bonsai, pots, tools, and accessories for sale; demos by experts of international acclaim; and workshops where attendees learn to create their own bonsai.
