Members vary from 'experts' willing to share their know-how to novices eager to learn. The club is active in the community, hosting garden walks & activities, fundraisers, workshops, and programs on a variety of gardening topics.
Types of Programs:
Charitable, Conservation, Educational, Membership, Native Plants
Programs:
Monthly speaker, gardening activities, field trips, creation and support of community gardens, donations to beautify the local community, annual fundraisers including Native Plant Sale, plant exchanges, club wholesale purchase opportunities
Membership/Dues:
$12 per year or $20 per year for two people at same address. Membership includes newsletter, monthly program, annual Holiday party, and a free T-shirt to first time members.
Publications:
Our monthly newsletter provides information on upcoming events, recent activities, general gardening info, book reviews, and other items of interest to our local gardening members.
Meetings/Conventions:
The club hosts a monthly speaker and topic the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held at the Spring Valley Nature Sanctuary in Schaumburg (1111 E Schaumburg Rd, between Meacham and Plum Grove Rds).
