Jefferson County Garden Club

We hold monthly meetings. During the months of July & Aug. we hold 'Charity Garden Tours' for local charities. The months of May, June, Sept. & Oct. we hold free plant swaps. There is a monthly newsletter.

The Garden State Rose Club

Ridgefield Park, NJ

The Garden State Rose Club encompasses Northern NJ and Southern NY. It's objectives are to increase interest in the cultivation of roses, to improve horticultural knowledge through an interchange of ideas and practices, and to sponsor public displays of the rose.

Connecticut Cactus & Succulent Society

Statewide organization devoted to the cultivation of cacti and other succulent plants. We meet the first Sunday of each month except January (no meeting) and April, when we hold our annual Show and Sale. Meetings held at member homes and garden centers around the state.

Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park

Oyster Bay, NY

409 acres of rolling lawns, exotic specimen trees; 20 specialty gardens including heather, rose, dahlia, rhododendron, & unique Synoptic Garden; hiking trails. Camellia Greenhouse. Main Greenhouse holds nine separate greenhouses & seasonal exhibits.

Frederick W. Vanderbilt Formal Gardens

Hyde Park, NY

The Vanderbilt National Historic Site contains extensive formal, Italian style gardens, restored and maintained entirely by volunteers. The gardens contain over 2000 roses, 3000 perennials and 6000 annuals each year.

The Garden Club of Brookfield

Brookfield, CT

We focus on beautification of Brookfield and sharing horticultural knowledge. Some major activities are maintenance of the Brookfield Historical Museum's colonial herb and flower garden, town plantings, and a scholarship to a graduating high school senior.
