The Rochester Civic Garden Center is a not-for-profit horticultural education center which has been fostering knowledge, providing information and promoting all aspects of gardening and horticulture through classes and certificate programs for more than 60 years.
We handpick 40 Horticulture students yearly from our pool of several thousand NYC Parks Work Fair participants. We train in weed, plant & tree ID, power equiptment, planting & pruning. All are eager. hard workers. Please contact us for resumes & interviews.
The Fwvga is a group of volunteer gardeners dedicated to restoring and maintaining the historic, formal Italian gardens of the Frederick W. Vanderbilt Historic Site. The Fwvga is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2004.
