Quinipiac Valley Audubon Society engages in community conservation, restoration and enjoyment of nature focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats.
We focus on beautification of Brookfield and sharing horticultural knowledge. Some major activities are maintenance of the Brookfield Historical Museum's colonial herb and flower garden, town plantings, and a scholarship to a graduating high school senior.
A 45 acre campus arboretum consisting of 140 labeled tree species. A tree map and descriptive book are available upon request. An historic tree grove and nursery has recently been established for seedlings of trees of national and local historic interest.
