Master Gardener volunteers provide educational leadership to the community in home horticulture to promote environmentally responsible gardening & landscaping in the low desert.

  • Master Gardener Program

Types of Programs:
Charitable, Conservation, Educational, Native Plants

Programs:
MG's staff plant question phone lines, give talks to local groups, introduce children to gardening, present information at garden and trade shows, organize educational programs and conferences, create and maintain demonstration gardens, etc

Membership/Dues:
Master Gardener Certification - completion of a series of classes held over a 17 week period taught by University faculty and staff, followed by a volunteer committment.

Publications:
Roots & Shoots is available to certified Master Gardeners
The Horticultural Communicator, a bi-monthly journal, is available by subscription.
